Children’s author Kimberly Rich Young is a substitute teacher in Brookhaven, Mississippi. Kimberly is originally from St. Louis, MO, where most of her family still live. Her sister lives in California.  Kimberly has lived and traveled  all over the world and her life experiences in other cultures gives her a unique understanding of universal truths of the human condition.  She brings these life lessons to her children's stories in a way that children of any age, and from any cultural background can relate with and enjoy over and over.

 Kimberly  and her husband (and illustrator) David Young have always wanted to live a more rural lifestyle, so in 2003 they decided to move to the country where Dave could start his own business and Kimberly  could pursue her dream of becoming an author. They share their home with their furry "children" Stranger, Dozer, Betty, Winnie, Lil Bit, Penny, Sugar Pie, Mary Dell, and several chickens.  The peace and tranquility of a country life suits them.
